Dome Construction Adding a dome More as a woodworking project than anything, I decided to add a dome to Smoggy Bottom.  It's an interesting project.                     Highlight Box   I used plans for the dome from C. Baetson, modifing them to fit my needs.  Many thanks to Mr. Baetson for making these plans freely available. You can see them at this link. Dome Plans               This is the start.  Sawing out the circles and laying them out for fitting and glue up. The small rectangle in the middle was used as a center,  with a nail to pivot on.  It's temporarily glued to the garage floor.  A lightweight stick, with the nail hole at one end and various notches for a pencil at different radii, was used to draw the layout on the floor.      Next Page      Main Construction Page    Home
