Celestron's Big Refractor Home                                            Back to Equipment Page Celestron C6R Refractor This is a big scope.  It's about 5 feet long with the dewshield.  It comes from Celestron with the ASGT "goto" mount as a package, and the mount is at the limit of it's capacity.   This is a good visual scope, as big an aperature in a refractor that is reasonably portable. It is not good for astrophotography, except perhaps with a webcam type camera. Modifications include additional tube rings, a "Hargreave Strut", Williams Optical focuser, and a 60mm finder.                       In the Observatory
